Video Project
For this project, you will be doing your own reporting and newsgathering, and then creating a video. You will be assigned to groups of two. Conduct interviews, shoot and edit video, upload to YouTube, and then post on the blog.
The topic of the video is something of student concern. It can cover any specific topic, like attitudes about parking, Friday classes, holiday plans, sports or sporting events, dorm life, extracurricular activities. Find a topic that supports visuals. You can check out one of our camcorders or use the video feature on your digital camera (but let's test the file format before you do it).
The final edited video should be no more than 90 seconds in length. Post to YouTube, and then use the embed code to post to your blog. You will need to go into the source code of the blog post, input the embed tag, then add a paragraph describing the video. You will use one of your team member's blogger accounts, but make sure you include both names on the post.
